Description:                The number of cyber and data security incidents has swelled in recent years and so have the number of reported data breaches.  Whether it is the commercial, retail, financial or healthcare sector, no industry is immune.  Whether the client be a large national retailer, the local "mom & pop's," or your very own firm, no company - large or small - is safe from the prying programs of data hackers and digital thieves.

Do you know the difference between a cyber and data breach, or the differences between an "incident" and a "reported breach"?  Or do you think your average E&O or CGL insurance policies will protect you or your clients? Prior to his current role with ID Experts, Mr. Henley managed ID Experts' cyber insurance channel and was a regional manager responsible for the Southwest portion of the US.  He has been certified by the Healthcare Compliance Association for Healthcare Privacy and Compliance and brings more than 14 years of experience to bear, and he regularly plays an instrumental role in driving innovation in products and services that meet the needs of cyber insurance carriers, attorneys, and his business clients.

Speaker Presentation #3 - Monday, April 20, 2015

Speaker:         Roberta D. Anderson, Esq., Partner with K&L Gates - Ms. Anderson is a member of her firm's global Insurance Coverage practice group, and a co-founder of the firm's global Cyber Law and Cybersecurity practice group. Ms. Anderson concentrates her practice in the areas of insurance coverage litigation and counseling and emerging cybersecurity and data privacy-related issues, including incident planning and response.  Ms. Anderson is a recognized national authority in insurance coverage, cybersecurity and data privacy related issues, as she frequently lectures on these subjects, including for the American Bar Association (ABA), the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Practicing Law Institute, Strafford Continuing Legal Education, and Law Seminars International.  She also served on the editorial board of the CGL Reporter (International Risk Management Institute) from 2007 to 2010.

Presentation Title:     Cyber Risk, Regulatory Issues, Insurance Mitigation, and Best Representative Practices for Attorneys

Presentation:             Ms. Anderson's Presentation will cover several important matters that all practicing attorneys (transactional and litigation) need to be aware of in order to best advise their clients with regards to cyber and data breaches, responses, and insurance coverage.  Her presentation will focus on the various regulatory and statutory reporting requirements in Florida law and around the country.  Ms. Anderson's presentation will also cover what the lawyer's role is, and ethical duties are, in making sure their clients take the necessary business and insurance steps to protect themselves and their customers' private information.
