[WSBARP] Nationstar / Mr Cooper

I had a client who got behind.  she tried paying a partial payment and it was refused because she didn’t pay the new minimum payment.  check returned.
Low income client, hired me and dozens of dozens of letters to Mr. Cooper, no matter who they said to write etc.  Phone calls with their staff...  very hard to get calls back and then not responsive.
they never read anything I wrote and sent and continue mailing new notices.. for a year or more
I finally had to refer to a SNAP office because client had no money to keep me running down blind alleys...

Mr. Cooper was extremely difficult to deal with.

Have any of you experienced problems with Nationstar / Mr Cooper not accepting payments for any reason?  I’ve got a situation where they rejected a client’s payment for nearly the balance owed because “Our payment system will not apply any payment that is within 90% of the payoff to the account.”  They then rejected a wire payment in the same amount that was annotated as being made to paydown the loan because they still for some reason thought that it was intended to be a payoff.

 

Now, with a balance of around $2,000 on the home loan, they are threatening foreclosure.  If they had accepted the initial payment, the balance should have been about $750.
