[Vision2020] How's this for a "Christian" ethic?

I don't know the man, and I can't answer your question for him. I do agree with him. I don't think we're the 'global police.' I think when the US military is used by the government, it's acting on behalf of US interests, as defined by those in charge or with the best access to government. They just dress it up as something palatable so that the actions will be publicly supported. 

Since WWII, I think these actions have not been in the interest of Americans generally, but that's just my view.

If the intent of Mr. Wilson's statement was to reflect his lack of support for rocketing Syria, why not simply say something like, "Stay out of Syria" instead of "The U.S. military should only [my emphasis] fight for Americans"?

Since by that he seems to mean we should not bomb Syria, then I think it's a fine Christian ethic. I do wonder if he would also say we should not have invaded Iraq, or bombed Libya, or would condemn the drone campaigns. If so, again I have no problem saying it's a fine Christian ethic.
