[Vision2020] How's this for a "Christian" ethic?

If the intent of Mr. Wilson's statement was to reflect his lack of support for rocketing Syria, why not simply say something like, "Stay out of Syria" instead of "The U.S. military should only [my emphasis] fight for Americans"?
