[Vision2020] Sex Offender Lists [Update on Sitler]

According to court records, to wit, the minutes of June 19, 2007, the court ordered that Sitler may not return to his current residence except to retrieve his belongings in the company of his probation officer.

However, the Idaho Sex Offender as of this morning [06/28/07] still shows his address the same on Residence St. Note that Idaho law requires:

"Within 2 working days of changing the address or location of residence within the county where the sex offender is registered, the offender must complete an address change form in person with the sheriff of that county of the change."

Perhaps Sitler has complied with the above requirement but the registry has not been updated for some reason.

On June 25, 2007 Prosecuting Attorney Thompson filed a Notice of Supplemental Probation Violation alleging two further violations in addition to the previous masturbation while looking into a window of an adjoining residence incident violation.

I urge all interested in protecting children from sexual offenders to visit the Clerk of the Court's office and request to see volume three of the file CR-05-02027. If you have a strong stomach, also request to see the first two volumes, although much of the informative material has now been sealed.

The prosecutor has yet to file a Motion to Revoke Probation.

As of now, a status hearing on this matter is scheduled for Monday, July 2nd at 2:00 pm. Since schedules can change, those interested should call the Clerk of the Court's office early Monday to check for any change (Courthouse: 882-8580).
