Agreed.
Our position would be to not show the judgment after the 20 years have expired.

Just stay very quiet until the 20 years passes.  After that it should just drop off the title reports.

I once had a judgment creditor start to act on the 364th day of the last year of the life of the judgment.  That was in the context of filing a bankruptcy proof of claim, so the time to complete the process was not an issue.
