I agree with Jeanne., I regularly put numerous parcels on one deed. I am thinking of an estate which had dozens of parcels on one deed. Why do more than one deed?

I realize different counties do things differently, but I do not believe the statute would allow them to charge double just because there are two different legal descriptions in the document. I routinely will include more than one piece of noncontiguous property in a single deed, and have not had any issues when recording in Spokane County.

Funny. We just heard a presentation by the Whatcom County Auditor. She was very clear that they will charge you for two filings in this situation. It would also keep the records clearer if you filed two deeds.
She,of course, blames the State Legislator for all these fees and demands.

A client has two parcels of non-contiguous real property, both of which are to be quitclaimed into an LLC with my client as the sole member. Is there a reason why I wouldn't use a single quitclaim deed to transfer both parcels?
