[WSBAPT] POA for executor

I believe the answer is no. An administrator or personal representative of an estate cannot delegate their fiduciary duties through a power of attorney.  As PR/Admin, you are responsible for proper administration of the estate. You cannot assign your duties to someone else through a POA. If you do, you open yourself up to liability.

Hi Listmates,

Do you know if a poa agent for a named executor can get appointed and serve on their behalf? If the POA doc states that the agent can initiate legal action on behalf of the principal. Anyone seen that work?
