The Dept of Licensing has forms that can pass the title when there is no probate.

Just be careful about recitals pertaining to title and to the payment of creditors. Also heirship.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Insolvent estate

Hello listmates,

PC's parent passed. Estate is insolvent (about $28k in debt) and total assets are less than $10k, but include a vehicle owned outright by decedent. I like the advice to walk away, but the PC isn't sure how to walk away from a vehicle sitting in her driveway.

What would you recommend?

Thanks,
Anna
