In the new deed, as to the Grantor call you can just reference how it is held under the current deed and in the Grantee call just say as husband and wife, community property.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Best practices for JTWRS to community property trust

Hello listmates,

A client previously quit claimed property to include new spouse, but used a Florida attorney on their Washington deed. Florida attorney used JTWRS language (though also identifies the grantees as a married couple). Now we are transferring the property into their joint trust, as community property. Can I transfer it as is, or do I need to remove the JTWRS first, to ensure it is community property later on?

Thanks,
Anna
