Thank you for your reply. So, what defines when an individual trustee is "not deemed to be operating a trust business"? That is the part that I can't find. Also, can an accountant, operating as a PLLC, be a trustee as a member of their PLLC?

I can't seem to find the statute which distinguishes between lay trustees (not regulated by DFI) and a professional trustee (who needs to register with DFI). My brief review of 30B and 11.98 are not finding it.

Can someone point me in the right direction. This is following a query from a PC about establishing a PLLC and operating as trustee.
