[WSBAPT] Small payment arrives after probate is closed

I had this happen and told the person to deposit the check with the court registry.  Then, your client can fill out a form to get the monies because the estate is closed.  My client was the former PR.  It worked for us and the check was $80 so not worth reopening the estate.

Hello listmates,

Does anyone have thoughts on advising clients on what to do when a random payment to the decedent arrives after the estate is closed?  The Small Estate Affidavit would not work because several of the required statements are incorrect (a PR was appointed, the estate was greater than $100k).

In my case the check is very small.  Should I just tell the client to forget about it?
