[WSBAPT] Petition to reopen probate - intestate estate

I just did this in Pierce Co. where the original personal representative agreed to cooperate to re-open the estate to record a fulfillment deed. Given the time that passed between closing the estate and our petition to re-open (9 years), the court required us to submit a sealed record with the PR’s DOB and full legal name to verify eligibility. The clerk’s office instructed us to mail the (electronically) signed order, letter requesting letters testamentary, and a check to the clerk’s office. Pretty simple.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Petition to reopen probate - intestate estate

Hello,

Client tried to administer probate on her own, but neglected to transfer title to house as part of the process.

In reopening the probate for her, do we need to submit anything but the Petition and Order to Reopen Probate (for intestate estates)? Anything particular to keep in mind?

Thank you,

Suzanne Lieberman
