I agree with Daylynn.  About 4 years ago, Commissioner Bradburn-Johnson yelled at my opposing counsel for about 10 minutes because their client tried to charge $90 per hour as a lay PR.  The Commissioner said at that time that no lay PR should be charging more than $25-35 per hour for PR work, and less for clerical.  But it's been awhile since then.

I asked this about a year ago and received responses from $15/hr for menial tasks such as cleaning out apartments, drives to the dump or bank, etc.  The reason was - could the PR have hired someone else to do these tasks and the answer was yes.

For more professional tasks such as dealing with attorney/CPA, sorting documents, meeting with professionals - $35 - $50 an hour depending on the education of the PR and their line of work in "real" life if they are non-lawyers.  As for attorneys, $200 - 300/hr seems to be the going rate as a professional PR/Estate counsel.  I do not offer flat fees at all - I did this once and regret it.  Make sure the person you are appointing as PR has some knowledge and understanding of what the position involves - it is not always simple.

At a seminar with King County judges, these seemed to be rates they could agree to and basically, they indicated they wanted to award the fees as "reasonable".
