Out here in Snohomish County I have generally found $25/hr to be acceptable to all involved - the Court, the client (PR), and the heirs. Have sometimes divided the type of work up - $15/hr for grunt work (the going rate for day laborers), $40/hr for more involved work, or more if PR is taking time away from paying job, etc. have had up to $75/Hr approved in certain circumstances but m conversation with my PR is usually what they can live with that will not encourage challenge by heirs, for obvious reasons...

As for attorneys, $200 - 300/hr seems to be the going rate as a professional PR/Estate counsel. I do not offer flat fees at all – I did this once and regret it. Make sure the person you are appointing as PR has some knowledge and understanding of what the position involves – it is not always simple.
