[WSBAPT] Testate estate with Will in Kent Depository

Per the RJC clerks, storage of all Wills are held in Seattle even if
deposited at the RJC. The clerks at the RJC has worked with me though if I
call ahead of time to say I need a particular Will transferred internally
from SEA to RJC to open a probate. The transfer usually take a couple days,
maybe three. When I know the Will is in Kent, then I can go down to get an
Order to Remove Will from Repository. Then follow up with an Order to Open a
Probate after retrieving the original Will from the clerk. A bit cumbersome
and it requires running to the clerks office twice. But at least with the
RJC's clerks assistance to transfer the Will from SEA before I head to
court helps. If there are other tricks, I sure like to know!

Very truly yours,

Subject: [WSBAPT] Testate estate with Will in Kent Depository

I sent a testate petition to King county ex parte via the clerk. The Will
was previously filed in the Kent Will depository.

The PR being appointed is named in the Will so no issues with any notice or
hearing required.

The Order was returned as rejected and unsiged with an indication that I
needed to appear in person for ex parte to Kent courthouse to pull the
original Will and take to court myself, present my Petition to get the Order
signed. I have never had to do this when in King County Superior Court in
Seattle.

Why need to do this just because Will is in Kent?

Anyone know how to get around this?
