[Vision2020] Fwd: Question . . .

Why not play your vinyl and not worry about digitizing it? Or is this for
a portable digital audio player, or one of those dreadful digital home
music servers holding thousands of albums on hard drives, that encourages
music becoming background wall paper for a modern distracted multi-tasking
digital lifestyle?
I enjoy putting a vinyl music record on the turntable, and when the side
is finished, needing to make a decision, regarding what to listen to next,
or putting on the other side.
If the music just keeps going endlessly with the click of a remote, or
with no remote even needed, this can trivialize the experience.
I can't count the number of times when a 20 minute or so side of a vinyl
music recording ended, I sat in awe struck silence at the emotional
spiritual impact of the music, for an extended period of time... And then
maybe decided to listen to something else, maybe not.
