PRESS RELEASE
Now looking for volunteers at the annual iCount event

October 2, 2014 (Moscow, Idaho) - The City of Moscow is hosting the 4th annual iCount event on October 9, 2014.

iCount is an event that focuses on collecting data about alternative transportation demographics. Data collected for the event is used for consideration in the development of plans regarding transportation and active modes of alternative transportation. Furthermore, iCount has been developed to show the community the impacts of the non-motorized transportation alternatives and how they promote active living.

This event is made possible by volunteer counters. Our volunteers count the number of pedestrians walking, biking, and more around the City. The data, recorded by our volunteers, can then be collaborated to create a visualization of the way in which citizens of Moscow utilize non-motorized transport.

To get involved contact Keaghan Caldwell by phone or email no later than October 6th in order to rsvp for a training on October 8th.

More information is available online at http://www.ci.moscow.id.us/administration/Pages/iCount.aspx

Training dates for the event will be:
October 8th from 12:00 pm - 1:00pm in room 201 of the physical education building (located behind the UI pool)
October 8th from 5:00 pm - 6:00pm in the City Hall Council Chambers
