[Vision2020] The Hawkins Mall . . .

Whitman County needs new development in a location that can't be annexed by Pullman since the voters (in their infinite wisdom and aided by Tim Eyman) voted limitations on property taxes that turn out to be less than the rate of inflation. The only way they can stay in business is to grow the property tax base. That's why they're hot to grow business in the corridor.

It may look no worse than any of the other developments.  But, why add more "stuff" that doesn't seem to be needed.  The fields are nice (if they would take the Hawkins signs down) and why do we need another mall right next to the Palouse Mall?  I rarely go there and can't imagine what the Hawkins Mall will have that I would shop at.
