[Vision2020] On behalf of sanity . . .

Wow! So Tom spent more than 2.5 years in the chow line in the Army. Interesting. I myself registered for the Selective Service as required by law but was never drafted. I think it's safe to say that Tom, Paul, and me have the EXACT same level of patriotism and that no one should be questioning our allegiance to the American Flag. Further, in the spirit of Roger's request to 'respect this forum', no one here should be questioning anyone else's patriotism.

Back to the main topic - which was Tom's cartoon of whiting out a single word in the 2nd Amendment - we already have a mechanism in place to modify the Constitution and even a precedent that can be followed (21st Amendment ratified to rectify the 18th Amendment).

No, Mr. Hansen, I said nothing about your patriotism, nor did I say anything about you at all. If anything, I was referring to the artist that drew the picture.

In answer to your question, I did some time at Annapolis. It took two and a half years before the Navy and I decided that this relationship just wasn't going to work out for the long haul. Too much drama. So they gave me an honorable discharge and sent me packing. So, no, I didn't get my chance to fight for my country like I had wished to. But I did try.

Paul

Are you questioning my patriotism, son?
Having served a career in the Army, I feel confident in saying that I have more time in the chow line than your entire tenure in . . . what branch of service were you in, again?
