[Vision2020] Anti Discrimination Ordinance

People attended last night's session to voice their opinion, both in favor AND against this ordinance.

To deny them such an opportunity is simply WRONG!

I am extremely pleased that the ordinance was adopted with a unanimous vote by the city council. But, in the words of Claude Adrien Helvetius . . .

"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"

What is to stop the city council from denying future public discussions after having established this precedent.

Seeya round town, Moscow, because . . .

It was going to pass that way with our without a parade of speeches that would be no more than political posturing from both sides. I can tell you exactly how this would have gone down had there been testimony - there would have been a ton in favor, Judd Wilson and Gresham Bouma would have preached about the sin of homosexuality - and the council would have passed it anyway at 1am.
