[Vision2020] Importing A Known Abuser To WSU Football

Joe,

It would be nice if the majority of offenders could be rehabilitated
(redeemed) and that we have methods to distinguish between those that could
and those that can't. We don't

Sobering statistics about recidivism:

http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/index.cfm?ty=tp&tid=17

And the definition of recidivism in the link above does not even attempt to
estimate the number who reoffend but who are not convicted or even charged
for reoffenses..

Again, I do not know the facts about what occurred at WSU; I doubt for
reasons I mentioned that we ever will. But hiring a known abuser is
generally not a prudent thing to do. Not for the university nor the
student athletes.
