I have concerns, too, given the history. I had concerns when he was originally hired. But not only is WSU doing an investigation, the PAC-12 is doing an investigation, too. I'm confident that they will discover whether or not the new accusations have a basis. I don't want to seem like a fool but I do believe in redemption. I'm willing to presume Leach innocent until proven guilty. Joe

I do not know any of the facts. I am not sure any kind of objective investigation can be made by the WSU athletic department since the are Lech's colleagues.

The problem of the vagueness of the meaning of word "abuse" and the problem of allegiances and fear of reprisals also complicate any investigation. I haven't privy to any athletic department accusations of a abuse, but have been to a number of allegations of workplace abuses -- the "fact finding" that sometimes occurs there is anything but.

However, if one Googles the Texas Tech matter, there is clear and cogent evidence that abuse occurred there at Leach's direction {and direct action). Regardless of whether abuse has occurred at WSU, hiring someone where the past evidence was so clear was hardly a wise decision. I hope college presidents are going to be much more careful especially after the Graham Spanier matter.

If I remember correctly, Leach has a golden parachute if he is fired betimes by WSU.

w.

On Tue, Nov 13, 2012 at 2:19 PM, Joe Campbell <philosopher.joe@gmail.com> wrote:
