Good, Ron. But I am afraid, I have to say that it is after 1946, because the license plate on the vehicle in the foreground has 1L, which was not issued first until 1947. Devotion was made in the early 1940s but not released until spring of 1946 in New York City. So it would have taken a while for the movie to reach a small theater in Idaho. Devotion was also redone in a radio version in April on 1947. So it would make since to release the movie at the same time while it was still popular. So my guess, based on the 1L plate, the 100s serious on the plate, and the information of when the movie was released

"Mid-Late Spring 1947"

Ooh, you're good.
Around the first week or two of June I'll be lookin' to donate some old UI and MHS yearbooks.  I'm talkin' UI yearbooks from the 20s, 40s, and 60s; MHS yearbooks from the 50s, 60s, and a unique MHS yearbook from 1914 titled "Wocsom".
You would be surprised (maybe not all of you) how many familiar family names appear in the 1914 MHS yearbook; names like Almquist, Leininger, Lenhard, and Kimberling to name a few.
Seeya round town, Moscow.
