Donovan Arnold unsubstantially informs us:

"AT&T has placed a data cap on its users. If you go over it your 3G is virtually useless because they slow it down so much."

I have been an AT&T customer for more than ten years. For the past two years I have been maintaining two sub-accounts, one for each of my and My spouse's iPads. Each iPad sub-account possesses the AT&T 2-gigabyte package. This means there is no charge for the first two gigabytes of data usage. There is, however, a $10 charge for each gigabyte that exceeds the 2-gigabyte limit.

Prior to December 2011, I had never exceeded the 2-gigabyte limit. However, as I have been away from home these past two months, I have exceeded the initial 2-GB limit each month.

I have not ever experienced a degeneration of communication or file uploads/downloads using 3G. In fact, I am posting this email via 3G.

Mr. Arnold: Care to substantiate your allegation or is it simply . . .

Seeya later, Moscow.

If not now, when?"
