[Vision2020] Hypocrisy (was RE: September 11th Memorial Events)

I'm a complicated guy.

I find it possible to admire someone's positive qualities whilst still 
disagreeing with some actions they may have taken.  By saying that I 
respect or admire this or that quality in someone I am *not* endorsing 
every single action they have ever taken or have thought about or will do.

Do you think it's possible he thought what he was doing was the right 
thing to do, based on his particular ideals of right and wrong?  Or is 
he some kind of monster who really wants to see this kid abused?
