Tuesday Growers Market at the Moscow Food Co-op 
  
The Moscow Food Co-op’s Tuesday Growers Market, located in the Co-op parking lot, is held from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday through the second week in October 2010. The Co-op Growers Market is held in conjunction with the Co-op’s free Tuesday concerts by local musicians. 
  
What Growers will have during June and July 
  
Backyard Harvest 
June: Providing USDA Food Stamps to Shop the Market and Farm Share pick-up for Community Food Works. 
July: Providing $5 Community Farm Shares to SNAP recipients. 
  
Becky and Jack’s Fresh Produce and Plant Starts 
July: Fresh and dried herbs, raspberry plants, raspberries, lettuce and spinach 
  
Deep Roots Farm 
June: Gluten Free bread and muffins, cut flowers, veggie starts, radishes, turnips, salad mix, kale, spinach, peas, bok choi, maybe some broccoli and cauliflower 
July: Broccoli, cauliflower, salad mix, spinach, herbs, strawberries, carrots, and gluten free bread 
  
Ravencroft Farm 
June and July: Salad mix, arugula, spinach, mache, dried herbs, and gluten-free puff pastries. 
  
Sexton Farm 
June and July: Duck and chicken eggs 
  
Stacey and Friends Produce 
June and July: Cabbage, walnuts, candied walnuts, freshly made prepared horseradish, strawberries, basil, tarragon, parsley, chives and thyme 
  
Sticky Fingers Farm 
June and July: Homemade ice creams (including dairy free/vegan flavors) and waffle cones 
  
Wilson-Banner Ranch 
June: Cherries 
July: Cherries, peaches, nectarines, tomatoes, sweet corn, summer squash, honey, a smattering of other fresh veggies, a few apricots and early apples 
  
Nutrition in a Snap at the Market! 
Nutritional Education and Children’s Activities facilitated by Mackenzie Femreite, Nutrition Advisor for the University of Idaho Extension Nutrition Program will facilitate the activities. 
  
June 21: Benefits of Whole Grains 
Activity: Whole grain day!  We’ll have the sensory table filled with 6 different whole grains. 
Sample: Bulgur tabouli 
  
June 28:  Whole grains in Breads  
Activity: Identify whole grains on food labels and learn how to make Bread in a Bag 
Sample: Popcorn 
  
July 5: In Season Vegetables 
Activity: Taste one vegetable cooked different ways 
Sample: Sweet and Sour Leafy Green Salad 
  
July 12: In Season Vegetables 
Sample: Spinach Pesto Pasta 
  
July 19: In Season Vegetables 
Sample: Quick Green Beans 
  
July 26: In Season Vegetables 
Sample: 4-Ingredient Green Bean Sauté
