Kai,
I know, so wonder about something else. Unwavering union member, well yes. But not necessarily uncritical. I spent more than 30 years lobbying the Idaho legislature—working for kindergartens, a sales tax, bargaining rights for public employees, teacher licensing regulations. Those times I testified before Mack Neiber with him slyly calling me Sue “Honey” were never pleasant, and often not even productive, but it sure as hell wasn’t posturing.
