Moscow police arrest man on suspicion of vehicle prowling

Moscow Police have arrested a man who they suspect is responsible for at
least 30 recent vehicle prowls in the city.

Police served a search warrant at a Levick Avenue address around 5:30 p.m.
Thursday after receiving a tip that a rifle stolen from a vehicle Monday
was in the possession of an individual at that residence. The rifle was
not recovered, but police obtained enough information to subsequently
identify and arrest 19-year-old Trevor Wood of Pullman on two charges of
felony burglary, said Moscow Police Chief David Duke. He said police are
continuing to investigate the other recent vehicle prowls.

Duke said very little property had been taken during the prowls — mostly
change and money that Wood allegedly used to support his drug habit.

At the same time police executed the search warrant, they discovered a
small marijuana grow operation inside the apartment. Police arrested
18-year-old Noel Potter of Moscow on charges of delivery of a controlled
substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Potter had arrived at the apartment while the warrant was being executed,
and police determined probable cause to make an arrest.

Duke said a 17-year-old boy also was arrested for possession of a
controlled substance with intent to deliver.
