To get these referenda on the 2012 ballot we will need to collect 60,000 signatures in order to ensure we have the necessary number.  If you are willing to help with this drive please plan to attend the meeting.  If you cannot be there, but would like to sign the petitions, I have them and will be willing—even eager—to get them to you.

I have been asked to invite and encourage Moscow community members to join the referenda petition drive in regard to the Luna laws.  It's not a matter of whether you are for or against the bills. A referendum allows Idaho citizens to have a voice in determining what is best for our children's future.  Governor Otter signed Mr. Luna's bills without listening to Idaho citizens, and we would like to put these bills to a vote.  To that end, there will be a public meeting April 25 from 4 to 5 p.m. at the 1912 building to launch the petition drive. Petitions will be distributed, and information on how to properly obtain signatures will be provided at the meeting.
I am asking you to please distribute this information on your list-serve, and if possible, post it on Facebook.  If you have any questions, please email me or call Ingrid Spence 208-883-5533, Trish Borchers 208-596-3046 or Penni Cyr 208-882-9235.  If you like, you can use the following wording:
