FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Moscow, Idaho) - The Moscow Urban Renewal Agency has purchased a key piece of property for redevelopment in the Legacy Crossing Urban Renewal District. The property is located at the southwest corner 6th and Jackson Streets.

The decision to purchase the property was made in accordance with the mission of the agency, which is to promote and support projects that achieve sustainable economic growth, vitality, and which enhance the community. To that end, the Commission is working with a group of students at the University of Idaho to highlight the potential this property has to enhance the community. Ideas for imaginable redevelopment include taking advantage of green space opportunities, potential for calming traffic measures, public space considerations, as well as the potential for various types of development.

Next steps the Agency will undertake are to facilitate cleanup of the site and gather ideas from the community on their vision of what the property could be.
