Subject: [Vision2020] Storm/refrigerator/freezer

As a quintessentially inept bachelor about the kitchen, is there a good
general rule of thumb regarding refrigerated/frozen stuff when the power was
out from 1:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.? The fruit bars in the freezer were an
easy, sodden, liquid call, but what about mayonnaise, milk, etc? The salmon
that was no longer frozen, but still cold? Pabst Blue Ribbon would survive
a nuclear bomb, but what should be tossed or kept?
