[Vision2020] Say What? Schwarzenegger

I was speaking tongue-in-cheek. Of course he was making funnies -
it's well known he is an Arizona immigration law opponent and made no
attempt at hiding it in his quip. Personally I found it to be in poor
taste and dismissive of the impact this law will have. What I find
unfortunate is he perpetuates the myth the law is nothing but racial
profiling, and fails to acknowledge that it seeks to do what the
existing Federal law enforcement groups are afraid to do.

I'm getting a bit tired of the rhetoric surrounding the "need for
unskilled laborers to do the jobs Americans don't want to do." To
portray immigrants as simply those who will fill a niche not even the
lowliest of American will fill is more dismissive and racial than any
law dealing will illegal acts.

Arizona currently has almost 500,000 unemployed, almost 2 million in
Californa, over 150,000 in New Mexico and 200,000 in Nevada.
Seriously - these people, as part of their unemployment benefits,
cannot performs in some capacity in these "menial agricultural jobs"?

And I have no idea what constitutes a "faux-Libertarian Tea
Party-kind-of-guy" as Ms Mix seems to portray me. Just a bit more
snarkiness from someone who contemptuously derides all others who are
a bit snarkie. I guess it's different when it's done in a sense of
Christian Love and Fellowship.
