[Vision2020] UI Safer With Moscow Police

Dr. Dailey-Laursenis a tenured faculty member in Forestry, so if he doesn't find another position elsewhere, the university is obligated to pay him. He was the Dean of the College of Natural Resources. How much is a matter of what kind of agreement he negotiated before assuming the Interim Presidency. Almost all administrators have a "step-down" agreement that indicates how their pay will be adjusted down to a "shadow salary" that approximates what they would have been getting as a faculty member.

Nick Geier held forth on this recently:

As he points out, former administrators don't ever seem to return to what a faculty member would have been paid.

Saunda
It is nice to be on the same side. As for cuts at the top, just why does the UI continue to pay Daiey-Laursen. For what he is paid, 4 or 5 staff positions could be saved. I have nothing against him pe se and thought he should have been selected for the job permanently, but at this point, he is not needed. The UI counsel is a joke.
