[Vision2020] UI Safer With Moscow Police

I agree that there are cons to the U of I letting the MPD contract go,  
especially when the U of I  covers what appears to be 25%of the yearly  
budget of the city police department.
But look at it from another point of view. U of I pays for a quarter  
of the police operations of the MPD, do they get 25% of the service?

While I personally think a U of I Police Department is doable, I think  
the most important thing is that the issue is looked at closely, one  
way or the other.  For instance,
if the city looses the contract, would that result in a 25% reduction  
in the MPD?
