Moscow Food Co-op Board Elections have Record Turnout

Andrika Kuhle, Donal Wilkinson, Kimberly Vincent, and Jamie Bentley were
elected to the Moscow Food Co-op Board of Directors for 2010. A total
of seven candidates sought four open board positions. In a record voter
turnout, a total of 653 Co-op members voted, including 604 who voted in
the store from March 25 to April 4, and 49 who voted by absentee ballot.
Nearly 3 times as many Co-op members voted as in the previous election.
Ballot counting ended about midnight following the Co-op Spring Annual
Meeting on Sunday, April 4.

Almost 70% of voters cast their ballot for incumbent, Andrika Kuhle, who
has been serving on the board since her appointment in July 2009. Donal
Wilkinson, who was running for a third term, and Kimberly Vincent,
currently the Board President, both received nearly 60% of the votes.
Each will serve a 3-year term on the board. Jamie Bently, who was
fourth, will serve a 1-year term.
