City of Moscow to Honor Veterans Day

 

Moscow, Idaho - Mayor Nancy Chaney and the Moscow City Council urges all
citizens to celebrate and honor the Veterans of the City of Moscow on
November 11, 2009 - the national Veterans Day Holiday.  

 

The official observance of the holiday was signed into law on May 26,
1954 by President Dwight Eisenhower as Armistice Day and was amended on
November 8, 1954 to be called Veterans Day.  The holiday is designated
to honor all military veterans.  

 

City of Moscow offices and facilities will be closed in observance of
this holiday on November 11, 2009.  Regular business officers will
resume November 12, 2009.
