This is not much of a victory for the University of Idaho.

Doesn't it mean that promises from the university to 
the people who dedicate portions of their lives to the 
university--

Don't mean much? Aren't present employees receiving 
similar promises?

A principled institution, even after the Stegner 
decision, would still say "We will keep our word."

I am so old-fashioned, I guess.
