And on the other hand . . .

I, and my 2400 baud modem, became customers of First Step Internet (as it was
known back then) since (at least) 1994 when EVERYTHING revolved around MS-DOS.
I remember logging on and playing DOS-based "Earth Conquest" off of a COMER
(College of Mines and Earth resources) server and DOS-based electronic mail
(email) was the hottest thing. I also purchased my very first version of
PCAnywhere (which came in super handy then and, several generations later,
still does today).

What I am getting at is . . .

During the course of those fifteen years as a First Step customer I have
experienced maybe three problems, all of which were rectified within 24 hours.

I am currently running four computers at home, each on its own DSL, an
extremely extensive virtual server account (with a multitude of websites as
y'all know).

So, having evolved from one 386SX computer with twelve megabaytes of RAM, a
120-megabyte hard-drive, operating at just over 100KHz (that's right,
KILOherz), logging on via a 2400 baud modem . . . to . . . two Dell XPS400's,
2.1GHz, 200-gigabyte hardrives, 500 megabytes of RAM, and two Dell XPS430's
with comparable attributes, each with its own dedicated DSL . . .

I am pleased beyo0nd words with my relationsip with First Step Internet.

Keep up the good work, guys.
