Visionaries:
I first learned that Barack Obama launched his political career in
Bill Ayers' living room when I was blog surfing about 3 months ago.
The blog didn't cite its source other than "a blogger" and it gave no
link so I went to Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obama%E2%80%93Ayers_controversy
At that time and as recently as last month Wiki confirmed that a blog
named Musings & Migraines was a primary source for this fact about
Barack Obama's political career. I Googled the blog, found the entry,
and linked to it in about my third or fourth post on the Viz, last
month:
http://mailman.fsr.com/pipermail/vision2020/2008-September/056655.html
However, since then the blog has scrubbed the post from its archives:
http://warrenpeacemuse.blogspot.com/2005/01/get-to-know-barack-obama-when-i-first.html
Hmmmm.
Wiki scrubbed its source and the blog scrubbed its post.
Hmmm.
AHA! This web site kept an image of the post in question:
http://www.patterico.com/2008/10/20/evidence-of-obama-ayers-tie-sent-down-the-memory-hole-almost/
And the host of Musings and Migraines cryptically alludes to the post
she scrubbed here:
http://warrenpeacemuse.blogspot.com/2008/10/gawkers-look-elsewhere-or-better-yet.html
Do not forget, either, that CNN has confirmed that Barack Obama
launched his political career in Bill Ayers' home as well:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvROBLortBQ
Therefore, all you Obama supporters demanding evidence can choose your
side. You can go with the original unscrubbed source, or you can go
with the Obama's latest version of events.
Me, I'd admit that this things stinks.
This doesn't mean you have to throw Obama under the bus, it just means
that it stinks.
Honesty is the best policy. Or since Obama referenced "those guys on a
dollar bill," maybe we should all say, "I cannot tell a lie. Obama
launched his political career in the living room of a domestic
terrorist."
