PRESS RELEASE

 

 

Recently the Moscow Police Department has received an increased number
of thefts related to political signs.  

 

On October 3rd, approximately 30 political signs were stolen from the
Fort Russell neighborhood.

 

Moscow Police Officers will be stepping up patrols and specifically
looking for suspects stealing political signs.  

 

Under Idaho Code 18-2403, theft of a political sign is a misdemeanor and
punishable by a fine not to exceed $1,000.00, or by imprisonment in a
county jail not to exceed one year, or by both.
