[Vision2020] obama election / gun purchases (corrected link, I hope)

What scares me is that the people gullible enough to believe the scare tactics of "Obama is going to take away their guns" are the ones with all the guns.

Best Regards,

Sending information from the NRA to support your viewpoint is like quoting the bible to prove the bible, it doesn't work for me. Also, the link to Obama's "anti-gun agenda" is not working.

I agree with Chas, most of the things listed seem pretty reasonable and I do not see that taking one step toward rational controls on gun will start a panicked slide down a slippery slope to total gun banning.  But I understand your point of view and you are certainly welcome to it. You will, however, not change my point of view. My law enforcement spouse has been trying for 20 years!  =)

Ms. Gray,

No, you did not "miss something in the 2 years of presidential campaigning." Things were deliberately withheld from you and you were told lies. Please see:

The folks out making their purchases now may be jumping the gun (so to speak) a bit or, they may be beating the rush. Either way the second amendment is in serious peril with the Obama, Pelosi, & Reed team at bat and gun owners be they hunters, target shooters, collectors, or simply enthusiasts have very good reason to be concerned.

I'm totally perplexed by the people rushing out to buy guns after the election. As if on Jan 20 obama will totally ban gun ownership? Did I miss something in the 2 years of presidential campaigning? And then all the other lemmings rushing over the cliff, too. What next? Stockpiling Bibles and confederate flags?

And speaking of guns and bibles, i just finished an amazing book: Deerhunting with Jesus: Dispatches from America's Class War / Joe Bageant. Here's an amazon link if you want to read more lucid reviews than i can compose (am so not a morning person!)
