Perhaps you should consult with Professor Flitwick, who assisted in the 
school's defense with weather charms during the final siege.

And Professor Vector might suggest some light reading for you (in addition 
to your regular textbook, of course) which you could enjoy in some corner 
of the Slytherin common room.
