Roger,

  I agree that other than Obama, we should be voting mostly Republican this election. However, I don't think you can fairly compare 1999 income tax rates to 2008 tax rates because people making $50K in 1999 had a much higher rate of disposable income to be able to pay more. 50K in 1999 is much more than 50K in 2008. There are lots more people making 50K now than in 1999.

  Second, Republicans controlled Congress in 1998 and were the ones that set the tax rate in 1999, The lower tax rate in 2008 was set by Democrats in 2007.

  Finally, while I agree we should cut the faucet off to free cash and services to illegal laborers, the Iraqi war is a huge burden on the American wallet and conscious and the main reason why the Republicans are being removed from Congress. It was in fact Bush's idea to give loans to poor people that couldn't afford them, and to go to war in Iraq. He has also refused to enforce illegal immigration laws, his responsibility.

  Democrats are guilty too. But I will be voting this election based on the best of the worst. I might vote McCain, but only because Hillary is the VP on the other ticket.

  Best Regards,

  Donovan

This email comes in three parts:

Part 1

In just one year. Remember the election in 2006? Thought you might
Like to read the following:

A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 ½ year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value
Evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion
Dollars;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

America voted for change in 2006, and we got it!

Remember it's Congress that makes law not the President. He has to
Work with what's handed to him.
