[Vision2020] Fwd: Socialist in the US Senate?

Someone thinks we might have a "Socialist" in the US Senate.  I received
this "Off List" response that I forward with my reply, removing the
identifying info to protect the top secret identity involved:
I am aware of Bernie Saunders, and that he has been called or called himself
a "Socialist."  I am not sure that in the strong definition of this term
that I was discussing, that he is a "Socialist," in the sense of government
ownership of major sectors of the economy.

Can you offer evidence this is the position he takes?

Actually there is Bernie Sanders of Vermont by conviction a socialist,...
