Someone thinks we might have a "Socialist" in the US Senate. I received this "Off List" response that I forward with my reply, removing the identifying info to protect the top secret identity involved:
<div> </div>
<div>I am aware of Bernie Saunders, and that he has been called or called himself a "Socialist." I am not sure that in the strong definition of this term that I was discussing, that he is a "Socialist," in the sense of government ownership of major sectors of the economy.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Can you offer evidence this is the position he takes?</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Thanks for your response...</div>
