[Vision2020] Nazi's need a voice, too!

Joe
I may have missed it, but I don't remember any inference by Glenn to gay marriage and polygamy. I thought that most of his posts were either providing information on sex offenders or responding to the criticism of other. Which Doug are you labeling Glen as (Farris or Willson)? I will accept your statement that you have no beef with Chist Church per se, only some members. I do not mean to call only you out for labeling folks with derogatory labels, it goes for all sides. I would like to see a discussion of the issues and different ideas with out the venom. I think all those on this list are basicity good folks, with the best interests of the community as they see it at heart. I am hopelessly naive I guess. As to labels I would call myself an economic conservative. A more compete description would be a moderate libertarian conservative.

I only ask that you consider the second possibility. I'm sure that if I tried hard enough I could say something that would offend you but go unnoticed by others. It might show that I'm clever but it doesn't mean that I'm not just as offensive as I would have been were I a bit clearer.

Or I can resort to whatever rhetorical technique I wish in order to gain a political advantage. What I cannot do any longer is talk reasonably about political issues while my opponents use whatever rhetorical techniques they like. I will let my opponent make up the rules and I promise to follow them.

> Lastly, maybe you can answer the questions I put to Doug in my last post. Why is it that calling a guy named 'Doug' a Nazi is out of bounds but that the insinuation that liberals are communists is acceptable? Why is it that Glenn or Doug or whatever the heck his name is is allowed to go down the slippery slope from the avocation of gay marriage to the avocation of polygamy yet I'm not allowed to ride the same slope from revisionism about American slavery to Holocaust denial? What is the difference and if there is no difference, why are you calling me out and not anyone else?

Most of his posts I thought were straight forward and providing information that he thought may be of interest. I don't see where you, Bob, Keely and Tom read all this other stuff into what he writes. If there is something else there I don't see it. I tend to take things at face value. I don't know if Glenn is his real name or not, but I seariously doubt that he is Dough Willson. It is odd to me that both sides of ths Christ Church issue slam the pseudonyms, of those they don't like and pass over those that they agree with. Saundra seems the most even handed on this. Those of you who don't like Christ Church lump everyone you dont agree with in with Christ Church. I may be wrong, but I don't think Glen has any affiliation with Christ Church.

The point is merely to allow folks like you to use the Venom 2020 label for another year. Glenn or Doug or whatever the heck his name is exploits the worst aspects of human nature, all while professing to be a God-fearing Christian. As a Christian, I am offended by the fact that uses his religion -- my religion -- as a shield for his actions. If Glenn or Doug or whatever his name is unfortunate enough not to have any good friends who can pull him aside and tell him when he's gone too far, then I'll be happy to step up and do it.
