I appreciate your note. Let me make some clarifications.

First, as you say there are groups of liberals/progressives who are offended by the posts of Glenn or Doug or whatever the heck his name is. On the other hand, conservatives like you don't see a problem with his posts.

There are two possible explanations: (1) Liberals/progressives are overly sensitive; (2) the comments are in fact offensive just not offensive to you; since they don't offend your own beliefs you don't notice the offense. I only ask that you consider the second possibility. I'm sure that if I tried hard enough I could say something that would offend you but go unnoticed by others. It might show that I'm clever but it doesn't mean that I'm not just as offensive as I would have been were I a bit clearer.

Second, I have no problem with Christ Church and I resent your classifying my views in that way. What I have a problem with is folks like Glenn and Doug and Dale who feel as if they can say what ever they want to their political opponents and then run off crying when you return the favor.

I can do either of two things. I can talk reasonably about political issues and keep the name calling out of it. Or I can resort to whatever rhetorical technique I wish in order to gain a political advantage. What I cannot do any longer is talk reasonably about political issues while my opponents use whatever rhetorical techniques they like. I will let my opponent make up the rules and I promise to follow them.

Lastly, maybe you can answer the questions I put to Doug in my last post. Why is it that calling a guy named 'Doug' a Nazi is out of bounds but that the insinuation that liberals are communists is acceptable? Why is it that Glenn or Doug or whatever the heck his name is is allowed to go down the slippery slope from the avocation of gay marriage to the avocation of polygamy yet I'm not allowed to ride the same slope from revisionism about American slavery to Holocaust denial? What is the difference and if there is no difference, why are you calling me out and not anyone else?

You apparently read things differently than I do. I have not found any hidden messages in what Glen has written. Most of his posts I thought were straight forward and providing information that he thought may be of interest. I don't see where you, Bob, Keely and Tom read all this other stuff into what he writes. If there is something else there I don't see it. I tend to take things at face value. I don't know if Glenn is his real name or not, but I seariously doubt that he is Dough Willson. It is odd to me that both sides of ths Christ Church issue slam the pseudonyms, of those they don't like and pass over those that they agree with. Saundra seems the most even handed on this. Those of you who don't like Christ Church lump everyone you dont agree with in with Christ Church. I may be wrong, but I don't think Glen has any affiliation with Christ Church.
