[Vision2020] Greyfriars in Orange Jumpsuits: An Evensong Contemplation for Mr. Schwaller

Dear Mr. Schwaller,

For this evensong, allow me to call your attention to
an interesting follow-up point regarding the Greyfriar
whom Pastor Wilson personally trained for the ministry
with a hands-on lesson in predation that showed the
aspiring predator the critical importance of finishing
off the father, after devouring the prey. To refresh
your memory you can reread the story here:

Tonight, however, we shall contemplate a post from
Pastor Wilson’s blog, which literally illustrates his
profound inability to comprehend the malignant
influence he has on the sheep in his care. Please
recall that Pastor Wilson hand picked Jamin Wight to
study for the Christian ministry at Greyfriars Hall,
and that while Wight studied at Greyfriars, he lived
in one of the many illegal Kirk boarding houses
throughout the City of Moscow.

But also remember that the Greyfriar did more than
study in that boarding house because on May 12, 2006,
he pled guilty to one count of felony INJURY TO A
CHILD after the police arrested him for sexually
assaulting a fourteen-year old in the home where he
lived. And, quite honestly, he got off easy when you
consider that he originally plea bargained to one
count of SEXUAL ABUSE OF A CHILD, which would have put
his mug on Idaho’s Sex Offenders list next to Steven
Sitler. Regardless, on May 15, 2006, Judge John
Bradbury sentenced the Greyfriar to four years in
prison, which ultimately netted six months in
Cottonwood for good behavior.

But the overarching backdrop that you must paste in
the forefront of your brain is Pastor Wilson’s
doctrinal stance on rape, which affirms, “Violent rape
is God’s judgment on a culture, and individual women
who are part of that culture are included in the
judgment.” And Jamin Wight was the second of two men
whom God sent to the Kirk to sexually assault its
women and children over an extended period. This
brings us to the post that Pastor Wilson uploaded to
his blog:

Did you notice the drawing, Mr. Schwaller? Pastor
Wilson drew it, curves et al, four days after Latah
County wrapped up the Greyfriar fiasco by sentencing
Pastor Wilson’s disciple to prison. And the point here
is not Wilson’s artistic ability; no one will ever
mistake him for Leonardo. The point here is Pastor
Wilson’s amazing response to his disciple’s sin, while
he had every reason to believe that “God’s hand of
judgment” was heavy on the Kirk. And remember that at
this time the Sitler matter was still in process and
Wilson still had not informed the Kult about their
resident serial paedophile, let alone about Wight.

There are layers upon layers here, much like Ezekiel’s
wheels within wheels; too much for one post. So I want
you to consider the cartoon’s masthead, which Pastor
Wilson called “The Sunday Funnies.” Do you get it, Mr.
Schwaller? — “The Sunday Funnies.” This ranks with the
April Fools’ Day joke that Pastor Wilson played on the
Moscow Food Coop 22 days after he discovered a serial
paedophile laid waste the lambs of his flock.

Four days after the first of two Kirk sex offenders
stood in open court to receive the just recompense of
his sin, Pastor Wilson memorialized his disciple’s
transgression with a cartoon titled “The Sunday
Funnies.” Put another way, “God’s hand of judgment”
fell on the Kirk and Pastor Wilson’s freehand took it
all in stride, sketching two lean babettes up to their
cracks. He thought it just one more thing in his
decadent ministry to dismiss with a laugh.
