Really?  Treason is defined in the U.S. Constitution thusly:

"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War
against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and
Comfort."

The Supreme Court has ruled that "there must be an actual assembling
of men, for the treasonable purpose, to constitute a levying of war".

Are you actually suggesting that members of the NYT, ABC, or/and Dan
Rather have assembled together for treasonable purposes?  Sedition,
maybe.  Espionage, maybe.  Highly unlikely in either case, but
possible, especially considering the Bush administration's bullyboy
tactics as exemplified by this:
